Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif has introduced the groundbreaking ‘Maryam Nawaz Health Clinic’ project, which is set to transform healthcare across the province. The initiative aims to upgrade 150 health centers into state-of-the-art clinics offering advanced and accessible medical care.

During the project launch, the Punjab Chief Minister distributed contract letters to doctors under the program and had friendly interactions with them. Provincial Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir praised her efforts, calling her a ‘Super CM.’
CM’s Promises:
- Increase annual dialysis funds from Rs. 700,000 to Rs. 1 million per patient.
- Introduce motorcycle mini-clinics for greater rural outreach.
- Launch projects for organ implants and home delivery of insulin for type 1 diabetic patients.
Additional Healthcare Developments
To enhance the province’s healthcare infrastructure, the Chief Minister has initiated various projects alongside the clinic programme:
- MRI Services in District Hospitals:
- Public-Private Partnership Model: MRI services will be outsourced to ensure quality and efficiency.
- Pilot Locations: Sheikhupura and Bahawalnagar.
- Investment: Rs. 39 crore 92 lakh for MRI services in these districts.
- Status: Installation completed in Sheikhupura, with Bahawalnagar to follow soon.
- Air Ambulance Services:
Punjab is the first province in Pakistan to launch air ambulance services for emergencies formally. - Field Hospitals and Clinics on Wheels:
- 6.8 million patients have already benefited from these mobile healthcare units.
- Services include X-rays, lab tests, ultrasounds, maternal and child health care, and first aid.
